Confectionery and snacks to stand out at Food & Beverage West Africa

FMCG, beverages, equipment, and ingredients are other featured sectors at the Continent’s leading F&B trade show

More than 120 exhibitors will be showcasing confectionery and snack products at this year’s Food & Beverage West Africa, running from June 11th to 13th. They will be joining more than 180 other exhibitors at the largest F&B trade show taking place in Africa.

The high profile of the confectionary and snack market at the show reflects the forecast revenue in Nigeria for 2024, estimated at ₦ 79.0 trillion ($61 billion) according to Statista. Revenue for the sector is expected to approach a 12 per cent compound annual growth rate by 2028.*

In addition to snacks and confectionery, other key sectors that will feature include the FMCG market, beverages, ingredients, equipment, machinery and packaging, rice/pulse/cereals, and frozen and canned goods.

Food & Beverage West Africa, now in its fifth edition, will take place at the Landmark Centre on Victoria Island, Lagos. More than 6,000 F&B industry professionals from across West Africa, including those involved in processing, manufacturing, import and distribution, through to retail and hospitality, are expected to attend over the three days of the event.

Also in the spotlight will be more than 40 local exhibitors, in addition to our SME Zone dedicated to Nigerian F&B entrepreneurs.

Food & Beverage West Africa is organised by BtoB Events. Brad Smith, Exhibition Manager, says: “Food and Beverage West Africa has become Africa’s premier trade show for the food and beverage industry. In 2023, the event featured 276 exhibitors from over 40 countries, making it an essential platform for companies looking to enter or expand across the West African market.

“If you are seeking new and exciting products that have yet to be seen in the West African market, then FAB is simply unmissable. The exhibition will demonstrate a huge range of products from all different F&B categories, many being seen in West Africa for the first time.

“From confectionery and snacks to FMCG from all over the world, from alcohol and energy drinks to coffee, tea and hot drinks, from sauces, spices and condiments to meat, poultry and rice, from machinery and packaging for manufacturers to equipment for kitchens and hospitality, this year’s exhibition is featuring more exhibitors, more countries and more products than ever!”
