PRIME Hydration Enters African Market with Launch in Ghana and Nigeria
PRIME Hydration, the US-based energy drink brand co-founded by influencers Logan Paul and Olajide “KSI” Olatunji, has officially entered the West African market with its launch in Ghana and Nigeria.
The expansion is supported by a strategic partnership with TradeDepot, a leading B2B buying platform known for its extensive retail network and expertise in distribution.
Since its founding in 2022, PRIME Hydration has rapidly gained global prominence, achieving an estimated $1.2 billion in worldwide sales by 2023. The brand’s product lineup features zero-sugar sports drinks made with 10% coconut water, BCAAs, electrolytes, and antioxidants, available in both bottled and powdered formats.
TradeDepot, established in 2017, acts as a critical B2B marketplace, connecting global brands with consumers in emerging markets. The partnership with PRIME marks a significant step in TradeDepot’s evolution from wholesale distribution to exclusive brand collaborations.
“Partnering with TradeDepot was an easy decision,” a PRIME spokesperson stated. “Their proven expertise in Africa and commitment to efficient distribution make them the perfect partner as we expand PRIME Hydration’s reach in this vibrant market.”
PRIME’s launch in Ghana and Nigeria builds on its earlier entry into South Africa in April 2023, where it partnered with Checkers, a prominent supermarket chain.
